2026 Hispanic Heritage Month
We’re excited to announce the theme for this year’s Hispanic Heritage Month celebration in the St. Louis region:
Somos St. Louis
This year’s theme is presented in partnership with the Missouri Historical Society and draws inspiration from “I Am St. Louis” a collaborative storytelling initiative from Nine PBS and the Missouri Historical Society highlighting the people, places, and moments that have shaped St. Louis.
In that same spirit, Somos St. Louis celebrates the Latino people, places, stories, and moments that have helped shape our region, while affirming a simple message of belonging:
We are here. We are part of St. Louis. Somos St. Louis.
Did You Know?
St. Louis Latino & Hispanic organizations began uniting under a regional shared theme for Hispanic Heritage Month in 2024! Last year’s theme, “Latinos: Passion, Progress, & Power”, celebrated the pride, resilience, and accomplishments of our community.

The message
Somos St. Louis celebrates the Latino people, places, stories, and moments that have helped shape the St. Louis region.
Presented in partnership with the Missouri Historical Society, the theme draws inspiration from its I Am St. Louisstorytelling initiative.
In that same spirit, Somos St. Louis centers the Latino community and affirms a simple truth:
Latino history is St. Louis history.
Our stories are St. Louis stories. Our contributions are part of this region’s past, present, and future.
