2023 Hispanic Capitol Day

at Jefferson City

The Hispanic Capitol Day is a day when the HLG brings people from our community to the Jefferson City, to discuss Hispanic relevant matters and bills with our state representatives.

On that date, in a non-partisan manner, the Hispanic community of Missouri has the opportunity to talk to elected officials and heads of agencies to dialogue, educate, influence them and hear their voices.

Delegates will visit the Senate and the House of Representatives to be introduced. Delegates will also hold special meetings, attend presentations by state agencies and may meet either the Governor and/or the Lt. Governor.

The first edition of the Hispanic Capitol Day was in 2001.

The objective of the conference is to educate politicians, in a non-partisan manner, on issues of importance to Hispanics, and put forth informational activities to increase the general public’s awareness of Hispanic causes.  This innitiative also strives to politically empower the Missouri Hispanic community.
