Scholarships
The Hispanic Leaders Group of Greater St. Louis (HLG), a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit corporation, promote and advance the education of Hispanics in the St. Louis region through our scholarship program. We reward achievement by providing funding for college/university education and/or trade/vocational training
The HLG offers scholarships of $500 and $1,000. The merit-based scholarship recognizes a college/university student’s academic achievement (3.0/4.0 GPA is required minimum). The second award is a need-based financial scholarship for college/university students (2.5/4.0 GPA is required minimum).
Our application process is through the Scholarship Central. So if you are interested on applying for HLG scholarship then click on the "Scholarship Central" picture below. You will be taken to the HLG Scholarship at the Scholarship Central website. You will need to signup at the Scholarship Central to see the registration form.
The scholarship funds comes from donations and from events we promote (e.g. Esperanza Awards). At least 50% of any profit from events are allocated to the HLG Scholarship.
2019 Scholarships were already provided by HLG and other Hispanic organizations on the HSA 2019 Ceremony.
2020 HLG Scholarship applications will be open again in 2020 through the Scholarship Central website.
The deadline for HLG scholarship applications will be end of June 2020.
Successful applicants will be notified by mid of July 2020.
The scholarships will be presented on July 2020 at the HSA (Hispanic Scholarship Alliance) Ceremony.
